Ballpark

Three impossible questions, one guess each. Scored on how many times off you are.

Three questions nobody knows the answer to, and one guess for each. Nobody expects you to be right: the game is about being the least wrong.

How to play

  1. Read the question and type one number. A small calculator is there if you want to work it out.
  2. You then see the real answer, how many times off you were, and where the others in the room landed.
  3. Three questions, no second tries.

Scoring

Each question is worth up to 333 points. You score less the more times off you are, down to 0 at 50×, 20× or 10× off depending on the difficulty. Twice too high counts the same as twice too low.

What it works

  • Numerical intelligence You work with orders of magnitude and break a big question into small sums.
  • General knowledge You start from what you already know about the world.
