Crowns

One crown per row, column and color. Crowns can’t touch, even diagonally.

A coloured grid and a short set of rules. You solve it by working out, cell by cell, where a crown cannot go.

How to play

  1. Place one crown in each row, each column and each colour region.
  2. Crowns cannot touch each other, not even diagonally.
  3. Tap a cell once to mark it ✕, again to place a crown, and again to clear it. Drag from an empty cell to mark several.

Scoring

Speed counts: 1000 points for an instant solve, falling steadily to 400 at the last second. Not solved: 0.

What it works

  • Logical reasoning You rule cells out one by one until only one place is left.
  • Spatial intelligence You keep regions, lines and neighbouring cells in view at once.
